Things to Know
DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T WARN YOU.
We reserve the right to remove any player from the league who is displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, overly aggressive behaviour, or actions and attitude. You will be expelled from the league by the coordinators without refund of your registration fees.
Violence of any kind will not be tolerated in this league.
It is a house league designed for fun and fitness; please leave your aggression at the door. We realize that people make mistakes so we have incorporated a 2 strike rule. Once you have received 2 strikes you will asked to leave the league. You will be informed if you are given a strike.
Keep in mind; refs can put you in the box and/or kick you out of a game. Please do not argue with them; you will not change their mind and this is a waste of our precious ice time.
If a team has a complaint about a player, see the Ice Park staff to write up a formal complaint. If you have a complaint about a ref, see the Ice Park staff to write up a formal complaint.
Risk of Injury:
Hockey is a contact sport and thus it poses a risk of personal injury to any participant. We try to minimize the risks by not permitting body contact, but please be aware risks do exist.
Pregnancy:
If you become pregnant during the hockey season, you must contact us. We do not encourage you to play while pregnant; however, the choice should be between you and your doctor. If you do decide to continue playing, we require you to sign a release waiver.
Subs:
There will be no subs for the winter league. With 13 players on the roster you don't need subs.
Waiting List:
If the player needs to leave the league due to injury, pregnancy or moving, we will try to replace you with players from the waiting list. If we are successful, the replacement player will pay you directly for your ice time.
